well, ms Autumn seems to be adjusting quite well. the most noticable being at day-care. She's gone from crying and wailing all the while we are handing her off to one of the girls who works with the toddler room to smiling at said girl as we hand her over and then turning around to say "bye bye" and waving and blowing kisses to us. It's nice. We started spending a few minutes in the toddler room with her playing and relaxing after the drive from home. Autumn likes that we do that and so by the time we walk over to the gym where everyone meets and starts the day, she's in a calm happy mood. She seems to be over the little hurdle at day care as well. The girls tell us that she's not needed to be held much at all lately and is happy to go play on her own or with some of the other kids in her room. She particularly seems cool with one of the girls who just happens to be adopted from Nepal. Ella Diki is her name and she seems to like Autumn as well. When we go to pick up Autumn...ms Ella Diki and ms Autumn Rose ChunLan exchange waves and "bye bye!" with each other.
Her hair is getting long enough now to do alittle something with. This is not lost on the girls at daycare who have a few times had "hair-do" times with the kids. (okay so there are two boys in the room who obviously don't get this treatment. hehe) Autumn is even more adorable with two little pigtails...one on either side of her head. Of course we all can't wait until it get longer and we can really get it under control and actually do something with it.
Finally I must say that we're taking Autumn to the Denver Zoo for the first time this coming Sunday morning. This will be fun if not interesting because she's only really seen in person dogs and cats. Because we have two dogs, Autumn has picked up on the fact that dogs bark (which she tries to imitate) and dogs go "grrrrrr". She pretty much will go "grrrrr" when she sees the dogs, a picture of a dog, or someone mentions the word 'dog' to her. We've also discovered that currently in Autumn's world, all animals make the "grrrr" sound. Something I demonstrated to our social worker the other evening when she paid one of her visits...and which totally cracked her up. Horses, ducks, and cows all go "grrrr" Of course Autumn's never seen a horse, duck, or cow except in pictures and books. The zoo will be fun. We anticipate (and will be videotaping it) that Autumn will go "grrrrr" to every animal we see. I can't wait. Plus it'll be another great opportunity for dad to take lots of pictures. :)

Can you post some pigtail pictures? Malia's hair is still too short and am I dying for some pigtail cuteness!
Glad all is well with daycare and everything else around your house.
We hope to see you at the big summer bash at the park!
