when the ground shifts under your feet...

Si Xiao Xiong Mao (four little panda...Autumn is on the left if you didn't guess haha)

"it's good to be princess!"

so I'm finally getting around to posting. yay me. haha.

truth be told, I haven't been remotely thinking of this blog nor keeping it up. nothing personal to the few of you who actually visit and read it, but there's been alot going on behind the scenes.

I'm not going to get into it here because I'm not going to use this blog as a dumping ground of problems or anything. Basically we have had some things going on and changes that have left us on some shaky ground in a couple/few ways. The three of us are getting along fine...we are in good health (although I question my mental stability from time to time) and Autumn is just going right along and being her spicy, now 3-1/2 year old self. On top of that, I had to take my baby of 14yrs (my Border Collie) Sydney in to put to sleep last Monday. We've had her since she was 8 weeks old and she turned 14 in January. She lost the ability to use her hind legs and her hips deteriorated. We and Syd held on as long as we could but she had gotten worse the past couple of months until we knew she couldn't deal with it anymore. She is sorely missed.

Autumn is loving both pre-school and her "chinese class" at the JCCC. She's actually alittle sad that her first year at JCCC will be over in a couple of months. Autumn is already looking forward to turning 4 years old because a few of the kids in her preschool class are about to turn 5 and most of them are already 4 years old. Her and two other kids in the class are the only ones under four actually. Of course we keep reminding her that her birthday is still 6 months away. After which mama and I look at each other and say...wow only 6 months. Autumn is working really hard on writing. She's still not quite at the able to read level obviously, but she spells everthing perfectly and we do work with her on sounding out the letters and words after she spells them. But, if we tell her what letters make up a name or a word she tries really hard to write them. She can write her name for the most part...she has a tad bit of trouble with the "m" and "n" but I tell her she's just got to practice and she's doing a great job even if they end up more squiggley line looking than she'd like. hehe. Occasionally, and I have no idea why or what to make of it yet, she starts writing backwards...meaning she's got the letters in correct order, but she writes them from right to left as if you were looking at the reflection in a mirror. for example "NMUTUA".

The big thing for all of us has been Wii Sports bowling. It's like our nightly family fun time after dinner together. Autumn is actually really good. Her highest game so far has been 205 and she consistantly bowls between 150-190. It's actually quite something. I recorded a game on video and hopefully I'll put it on here soon. hehe.

Well, I'm posting a few pics too so enjoy. And hopefully things will smooth out and I can devote time again to our blog page. :)

Take care everyone!
