baba's back to work bash and boy oh boy daycare...

so today was my first day back to work since before we left for China. I can't say that I wasn't kind of glad to be getting back to more normalacy in my life, but there was a bit of a moment where I was sad that our time off had come and gone already. Everyone was very glad I was back...especially my customers who emphatically welcomed me back and told me how glad they were. and while they meant no offense to those co-workers of mine who covered for me, they were glad that they were finally getting to have things back to normal. I now have a plethora of photos on my desk to show off. ("do you know what a plethora is?"..."ummmm no El Guapo." - I love that movie) So besides figuring out what was going on and catching up on things at work, hearing how glad everyone was I was back, I repeatedly heard from everyone how incredibly cute/adorable/sweet AR is. I was very flattered. AR on the other hand would have said..."why yes I am thank you so much!" LOL I only say that because she definitely knows how to use her cuteness with us and family to her advantage. :)

Speaking of, ms Cuteness had her first day in daycare. All in all things went okay. She didn't eat tooooo much and didn't really drink much water (which she downed once she was home though). She had trouble napping and what little bit of nap time she had was broken up throughout the day apparently. the two women who oversee the kiddos said she did pretty well considering...she was alittle 'clingy' but they figured she would be with it being her first day and also taking into consideration she's only been with us for two months. She checked out and played with most of the toys and kids, but preferred sitting in the laps of the girls and such. So not much to worry about for this first day. Everyone agreed that she'll warm up to things just fine and probably fairly quickly. She definitely was a happy girl this evening and took turns walking/lunging/crawling between mom and dad on the floor and playing with her toys while listening to Radiohead. She seems to have great taste in music. hehe ;)
