Let me first apologise for being so behind in posting.
As I sit here it's been one week since we've been home from China with Autumn. It's been rough at times I won't lie. Mom and Dad both have adjusting to do since this is our first child. G had been sick so I've had to be daddy to a child who for a week and a half in China really didn't want anything much to do with me. The last few days in China were better and we interacted alot while mama was doing the holding, etc. Since we've been home however, Autumn has slowly started attaching to me better. Up until about Thursday, I had to get her when she woke up, feed her, change her, bathe her, etc. And, we definitely did some playing with the toys. That helped alot I think. Autumn still prefers to be held by G if she's in the same room as I, but that's slowly getting better as well.
It's been one week since we've been home and Autumn is definitely feeling more comfortable. She hasn't slept completely through the night for consequetive nights yet, but she's crawling around on her own...in fact seems to not need to be joined at the hip with mom like she was because it's apparently much more fun to crawl around and explore. (which is wonderful!) Autumn's also been standing up more the past couple of days. She leans against something when she does...and if she travels on foot it's by holding onto whatever is around to get where she wants to go. G thinks she'll be trying to walk in a matter of a weeks. Autumn still has her fits and mood swings which we expect, but each day she seems to surprise us with something which makes us feel she's figuring out this is where she belongs and is okay with it.
We went for our first outing today to get more winter-y tops and some socks and shoes for her. Autumn wasn't entirely thrilled with the idea of being in a car-seat, but did wonderful at the store. Several people couldn't help but tell us how incredibly adorable she is. And, inevitably, on the way home, Autumn fell asleep in the car-seat. (must not be that bad then, eh kid?!)
Finally, above are a few pics. Obviously there are ones of our lovely winter wonderland here...and the others are just a couple of many that I'll get around to posting of the one and only A.R.
Til next time...

Belated congratulations! So good to read that you are safely home, as glamorous as the airports must have been. The shot of the 2 of you at your keyboard is just lovely, really touching. She IS adorable. Hoping G. feels better, and you all stay warm and cozy.
~ a lurker awaiting my own trip to China, Beth
OMG, thank you for the excellent pictures. You and AR look content on the keyboard, that is fantastic. I'm sorry to read about G not feeling well but the positive side, it lets you and sweet Autumn bond. Each day gets better and better. If I was closer I would bring G some home made Chicken soup. Enjoy your new year. jacque
