My oh my! what a whirlwind three days we had.
now that we're through the weekend, it's back to work and the start of concentrating on getting things done and prepared over the next several weeks.
Obviously we won't know when we're leaving until almost time to leave, but there's lots to do in the interim.
My first duty here and now is to thank EVERYONE for posting, visiting, and just generally being supportive and saying such wonderful things. We are humbled by all of this and I just don't know if I've thanked all of you all enough. So I'm doing it again.....Thank You!
I also wanted to mention that it does appear that we'll be in the same travel group as a couple of other families from the RQ legion. This is very cool. We're looking forward to that!
We are soooooooooooooo looking forward to traveling to China to bring Autumn Rose home. I've been making lists of things to do, but also juggling trying to find as much info about Chongqing and Wanzou as I can. I did read somewhere that the people of that area are very hospitable and open. they also are quite fit as the region is mountainous/hilly. this works out well because we love to hike and we're definitely looking foward to taking Autumn on some hiking and photo journeys. It sounds as if she has it in her genes possibly. hehe! I also read that the girls of that area have a knack for being strongwilled, somewhat outspoken, etc. I had a feeling after looking into those eyes of our daughter in those pics...LOL She is going to fit into our family so well I believe.
Just a few more weeks Autumn.......

I have been following your posts on the RQ site, and I must tell you more about Chongqing girls! I traveled with my daughter to pick up our beauty two years ago. I adore my other bio and adopted grandkids, but I love this one ferociously. I tell people she is from China because the entire world was searched for the most perfect child, and there she was.
She is not yet three, but is learning Chinese with a tutor, and is a computer whiz. Her favorite is *Piggy X Kids*, also known as PBS Kids. She insisted on wearing her Halloween costume to play school for several days, but her teacher said that any one with sooo many dimples can do anything she wants!! I will resist the urge to go on and on, but just wanted to give you a taste of what you might find in Autumn Rose!
Very best wishes from Grandma Susan (another Mt Dew fan)
