the voicemail...haha

okay so the wife and I get home from work (we carpool...it's nice...saves money) and there's alittle glowy orange light on the phone base which tells us when someone's left a voicemail. I hadn't checked my hotmail account during the day so I didn't realise we had one (you can have your voicemails forwarded to email with Vonage...pretty cool). Anyway, it was a message from our agency (per the caller ID). I looked at Gwyn and said "oh, so here's the message saying 'sorry guys but because of this recent referral you're going to need to definitely get that I-171H re-do going now.' " and she was like "yeah, probably". "or..." I said, "it's just the girl telling me that she got the reference letter faxes in preparation for the home study update."

actually is was just a nice follow up type call from someone in the child match department who also does some mentoring/counseling with waiting families. she said she was checking with families with LIDs around ours (early August) to see what they could do, if we had any questions, etc. the wife said "to see if anyone's ready to jump off a bridge..." (we laughed) Well, obviously they realised that this last referral group only going to 7/22 sucked alot of life out of us families with the early August LIDs (not to mention the remaining July families obviously) so they were trying to make sure everyone's still sane and checking if anyone needed anything...or to talk/vent/ask questions/cry, etc. I thought it was very good of them.

and I'm still feeling certain that they don't feel we'll be in this next group. I haven't sent that email or called about that yet though.

so how about Christmas in China...???
