all sorts of weird...

first yesterday, our agency posts that the CCAA has informed them that they were 'working on the next set of matches' so we assume that friday or monday at the earliest we may see referrals go out.
then...today some (less than a handful apparently) agencies received referrals. which means that these would have had to been mailed like this past Monday or even Tuesday. Hardly anyone knew anything about it. Alot of the agencies had no idea what was going on. This afternoon our agency posts something to the effect of "surprise...apparently they mailed the referrals..."
so far from the referrals that have been sent...the latest they've got was 7/22.
not so good.
and what's worse is that if it really is the cut-off date...then once again...after we've started making plans and doing things again...after we began to tell friends and family that we were almost there...it falls apart and we could get pushed away again. and worse...really have to re-do the USCIS document when it looked like we may not have to.

I only hope that this small group of referrals were just the beginning of it all and not an indication that indeed 7/22 was as far as they got.
I have to keep the faith that they indeed got farther and we just don't know it yet...and that things will remain on track for us to be next.

we'll see. i'll be slowly going even more mad than i am now until this is over. haha.

I could have written that same post! If you call Child Match regarding what we "spoke" about in the comments of your other thread, please let me know. I can give you my email if it's easier. I appreciate your info.

if you'd like to give your email that'd be cool. I'll gladly pass along any info I find out.

I do plan on writing a quick email to Child Match. I say write an email because I figure tomorrow either 1) they're going to be inundated with calls about what's going on...2) they get their referrals and so they'll be busy with that. or both. lol
She's (the CMD) really good about getting back to me from the times I've emailed her...so I'll definitely follow up with a call if I don't hear back from her after a bit.

this is all just soooo goofy. like i told the DW, 'just when you thought this wait couldn't get any weirder or more frustrating'...

I bet they are super busy over there. I just received an email reply from CCAI-FL regarding questions I had about Home Study updates. I'd be glad to email you what they said.
My email is:

Mary-

while I don't know much about all the restaurants in the Springs, I can tell you my brother-in-law is one of the managers of a great Italian Deli on Garden of the Gods Rd not far from I-25. It's called Mollica's and if you were to exit GOTG road from I-25 and go west you'd go about a couple of blocks or so and it'd be in one of a couple of small buildings on the left (south) side. There are a couple of small buildings in a row with offices/shops, and it's in one of those...I don't remember which one now. lol Anyways, it's wonder food there. And of course you definitely definitely definitely have to visit Garden of the Gods park. There are some historic areas with touristy shops (and nicer shops) in Colorado City and Manitou Springs which are part of the area. There are a few other places around there that are great as well.

Enjoy!!! :)
