I am happy (I think...) to say that I've finally kind of captured Autumn's "spicy-girl" look. She has two versions...this one which is the more serious "spicy" look and then there's the one with the sly mischieveous grin. It's not the best "spicy-girl" look she's given us, but it's the first one I've been able to successfully capture with a camera.
So I didn't get to post on Thursday the 7th which was the Lunar New Year. Yes, daddy's been sick the past few days and have stayed home in bed taking cold meds and getting lots of rest. I've found it better to just attack these things like that and get over it quicker than have it drag on for a week or more. Obviously if I were smarter I'd try doing the zinc and vitamin C thing, but I'm a guy and that should probably be enough explanation of why I don't. haha!
That being said, tomorrow afternoon we're attending the 'Asian-Pacific Spring Festival' Celebration. It's an annual thing that's held the Saturday closest to Chinese New Year and is sponsored mostly by the Denver Chinese School along with other Asian owned businesses. They have boothes and things for kids...and then there's a big program with acrobats, singers, dancers, etc. Last year when we went Autumn had only been home with us about 2 months. She actually enjoyed the music and dancing then. We think she'll really enjoy much much more this time around. I'll have some photos to post later!
Happy New Year....the Year of the Rat! Mama is a Rat...and so is Autumn's one aunt (my sister). Hopefully this will be a good year for all of our families as well as all of your families!
