yeahhh looks like they might score!
so how cute it is that daddy and Autumn went to an Avalanche hockey game on Valentine's day while mom got some much needed time to herself to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet? very much so. that was my gift to G; an evening to herself. mine was to spend some quality time with my little hockey chicky. I thoroughly enjoyed it as well as Autumn. We ate popcorn and drank soda (daddy) and water. We cheered loudly...for example ms. Autumn's: "yahhh hockey!!!" or "go Avs!!!!" or "wooooo!!!!"
and how cute is it that during the 1st intermission Autumn yells out "Daddy! look Zambonis!" to which the woman to the right of me turns and looks over at Autumn with a funny look on her face. "She really loves hockey. and she really does actually watch what's going on and asks about it" I say. "It seems that way yes! How old is she? 3...3 something?" she asks. "umm actually not quite 2 1/2" I reply. "ohh. wow." the woman says.
I continue; "it's funny because I jokingly asked her one day if she wanted to learn how to play when she got alittle older and she without hesitation said Yes!" "wow!" the woman says...then, "my son didn't really get interested and started in hockey until after he turned 6 but he absolutely loves it" I nodded and replied, "that's great! well I figure she has a couple/few years to really see if she stays this interested. I might try to get her on skates later this year or next." (Autumn then says "yes me hockey!")
So we left late in the 3rd period and went down to the "hockey store" because Autumn was very good and didn't act up or anything. I told her we would if she was good since the last game we were at she started out okay but then went into full spicy-girl toddler mode. I said no hockey store and she got even more upset. So this time she did very well. We wanted to get her a new outfit because the ones we had got her before she's too big for now. They didn't have much to chose from in the store, but I did find the 2T-4T jerseys and asked Autumn if she'd like one of those. "ooooo hockey! me like....me hold it daddy!"
She loves hockey and so does daddy. So I figure I will enjoy this while I can because who knows if she'll be this into it for long.
In other 'news'....currently we're still in re-paint and re-decorate mode at the house. It's been a long process obviously, but it's moving along.
Some exciting news is that next week we're going to get to visit with one of our travel-mates while she's in town. That'll be great! We're looking forward to seeing her and catching up a bit about her, her husband, and their amazing little boy who's been such a gift to them.
And in two weeks, we're going to go to the Aquarium with another wonderful adoptive family from here. That's also going to be a great time. It'll be really nice for Autumn to visit with their daughter and have some fun.

That is too fun! And she just gets cuter with every post.

How fun! We are more soccer fans than hockey fans so Malia better be geared up for some Rapid's games this spring, summer and fall.
AR looks quite adorable in her new hockey gear!!!
