so being adoptive parents of a beautiful "Spicy-Girl", not only did we ring in the new year with Autumn (ummm yeah she was up until 11:30 and still woke up at 6:30am) but I also mentioned to G that in about 5 weeks is Chinese New Year. Looking forward to that especially since last year AR was only with us for less about 2 months. She should be alittle more into it this time around. :)

We had a wonderful Christmas holiday. Both sets of grandparents were over including an aunt and uncle. Autumn loved all the attention and all the gifts she got. Half of the gifts were toys and half were clothes. She's actually been playing with most of her toys. Her fave so far seems to be the little doctor kit. She loves 'taking our blood pressure', and 'checking our hearts' with the stethescope. We call her Dr. Autumn when she's examining us and she's saying that to us now when she wants to 'check us out'. She'll end the session with a 'shot' and when we ask her how the results are she says "Good!". She'll put her equipment in the bag and then in her shopping cart and push it to the next patient. Too cute!!

In other news, we meet with our social worker Friday afternoon to have our 12 month follow-up meeting. This is the last official post adoption item left to do. As I mentioned in the post below, we received her birth certificate a few weeks ago. It's a very wonderful thing. :)

So impressed that you already got Autumn's birth certificate. We need to "re-adopt" and had to wait a year, that and Kai's lifebook are my next projects.

Happy New Year to your family of 3. I'm in Denver in late Feb and would love to figure out if we could grab a quick dinner.
