almost 6 months

so it's just about 10 days until June 11th.

so what's so special about that day? well for our Travel Group...it'll mean 6 months...6 MONTHS since our Gotcha Day! it is alittle bit hard to believe. all the time that it took for us all to get to the moment we received our referrals...and the moments leading up to that big day...and now it's almost been 6 months since that day. I'll write more when the time comes, but as we enter June I can't help but pause and recognise just that simple impending date. and...in two weeks our agency has their National Reunion. We'll be attending of course with (happily to say) both sets of grandparents in tow. Our rep/guide from ChongQing, Marie, will be there and we're both more than excited and anxious to see her and let her see how much Autumn has grown physically and emotionally. Lots of photos to be had at that event for sure.

one other observation of note is that Autumn has figured out the whole going outside and going inside thing to the point where she can tell us when she'd like to go in or out depending on if she's in or out. the funny thing is...you'd think she would have learned to point and say "in" or "out"...but instead it's "ide". as in "ins-ide" or "outs-ide". Seems alittle weird but then again she is our daughter....hehehe. So "ide" now goes on the official "List of words Autumn can say (or partially say) when she feels like it". Only words that go on the list are those in which she knows that they mean what they mean and we understand that she means what she says when she says them. ;)

I can't believe that it's already 6 months, where has the time gone!! But then again, was there ever a time before 6 months ago, I just can't remember life before Maisie. Have a great time at the reunion and say hi to Marie from us.

Have a wonderful time at the reunion and please say hello to Marie for us too. We are very sad that we can't come out west this year but hope to make the trip next year.

Autumn looks fabulous and I love how she lets you know whether she would like to be inside or outside.

Hugs,
