I saw Slide on one of our group travelmate's blog sites and thought it was awesome. So...thank you Lisa for your use of Slide in that I discovered it. :)
AR is feeling much better...this morning not so much, but this afternoon and tonight she was "chatting" away and being her usual fun and silly self. I take her to the pediatrician tomorrow afternoon to re-check her eye and everything...and if all is okay, get her IPV for 18months. good times.
I'll write more tomorrow! :)

Good for you for getting AR into the ped as quickly as you did. As a BTDT parent still making RPEs (rookie parent errors), I will caution you that even if you think AR only has an insect bite on here eyelid, you should go into the doctor's right away. Our dear M has twice been bitten by a mosquito on her eyelid, and it swelled up more than I thought possible. Each time, they had us bring her in right away as serious eye problems can develop pretty quickly if the issue is not checked out.
You guys are doing great. And nice to see you on the RQ blog this a.m. (the 14th).
I'm having trouble posting on her blog (but not forum), so I thought I'd just say Hi!
