so much for our 18month check-up. I guess I should start with Saturday morning when Autumn wakes up. we noticed that her right eye was red and the upper lid was a little swollen. Obviously the first thing we thought was 'pinkeye' since she's had a bit of a head cold for about two weeks now. I had took her to the doctor last Tuesday where her temp was normal and her pulse-ox right on target. We were told to just keep an eye out for her congestion if it worsens or her temp got high and stayed there. She's had a low grade fever/temp off and on which we all (including the day-care girls) attributed to teething since she is getting both upper incisors coming in simultaneously. well, one's grown in a bit more than the other but they're both through the gums. ouch.
So the eye thing wasn't pinkeye. we thought maybe something got in her eye and was irritating it. we flushed it. nothing. Monday it seemed alittle worse but then seemed to clear up a bit that afternoon. Today, Autumn didn't want to really wake up this morning and didn't drink her milk/breakfast like she had been doing. I got a call from the day-care later this morning saying she wasn't feeling good at all and was wanting to sleep alot. Well, luckily we had the appointment already for the afternoon.
Turns out our ms. Autumn has a mild ear infection and an eye infection to boot. So she's on a mix of Amoxicillin and some other drug for the next ten days. yeah.
So we'll try the exam and IPV shots next Thursday apparently.
At least we know some fun stats though. 'skinny-butt' as I've taken to calling her lately is now 20 lbs and 31- 1/2 inches tall. seriously...she has this tiny skinny little butt and long skinny legs. it's so cute.
