Happy Chinese New Year!!!

look guys...no hands!

all dressed up with somewhere to go!

whoa!

Today is the Lunar New Year, more commonly known as Chinese New Year. This year is the Year of the Boar. There are many traditions involved with CNY, and we will definitely become more "into" them as Autumn gets older. This year we observed it in a minimal way.

Yesterday we went to the Colorado Asian-Pacific Spring Festival (Spring Festival and CNY are synonymous). We saw some performances and some crafts being displayed. It was a fun time. We had to leave before the Dragon Dance (I was bummed) however since it was getting late in the afternoon and ms. Autumn hadn't had her nap yet so she was getting cranky and squirmy.

Where we were sitting in the auditorium wasn't real close and so I didn't get great photos, so I used PhotoShop and made them "artistic". hehe Enjoy! Next year we should have a more meaningful celebration as (hopefully) Autumn will be talking some and might understand alittle bit of what the New Year/Spring Festival is all about.
