well, finally had to post this. LOL
Now that I've recovered from the butt-whoopin that Florida gave our beloved Buckeyes, I've decided to post this. (well, that and we've been running around the past day and a half.)
My sister came over and well, DIDN'T have all her Buckeye gear on, I had the black jeans, grey turtleneck, and football jersey, and little Miss Autumn Rose was sporting a Buckeye onesie that my sister bought her along with black pants. We mugged for the camera a bit, then had pizza, plenty of mt. dew, and watched the game. Okay, so AR played on her play mats in front of us and didn't so much "watch" the game...but it was fun. Of course there wasn't too much to cheer about after the opening kick-off return for TD by Ted Ginn Jr. Oh well...can't win them all I suppose. I honestly can say though that the Buckeye team we saw on Monday night's game was not the same team we'd watched during the season. Ugh.
Meanwhile, AR has continued to show interest in walking and as of yesterday evening can stumble around a few steps on her own...and walk fairly decently holding onto one of our hands or with our hands under her upper arms just for support and not help. It's been something to see really. Next up, we visit the pediatrician tomorrow morning for the first time. I'll follow up sometime after with a post. I'm sure it'll be a fun fun visit to the doc. woohoo! LOL

GO BUCKS! I know that the game on Monday was a HUGE disappointment, but there is always next year. We are here in the Buckeye state - right in Columbus. Nice to know there are Buckeye fans everywhere! We are LID 6/8/06, patiently (or not) waiting for our daughter. Your daughter is absolutely adorable!

T&G,
Not a huge Buckey fan -- I'm from Michigan, enough said :) -- but something about the Fiesta Bowl reminded me of the Rose Bowl this year....it's never fun to lose, but our teams really didn't play well at all. Oh well, next year.
Anyway, on to the pediatrician visit. Some peds. want to redo ALL of an adopted child's innoculations, some pick up right where the immunization card left off. The really great pediatricians (like mine) ordered a full lab done on Katie's blood -- NOT FUN! -- but then ran titres on each of the childhood diseases she was vaccinated against in China to see if, in fact, she was actually immune (or where she was supposed to be in a multi-shot regimen). ALL of her titres came back positive, and that means she does not have to have ALL of the shots redone -- we pick up where China left off.
I hope your pediatrician will order the blood tests for Autumn and not just assume that everything's okay or dismiss it out of hand.
Have fun at the doctor's office!
Great picture of you, AR and your sis. I watched part of this exciting game. Your post was quite humorous. Jacque
