ups and downs

Hello all!

Unfortunately, the hotel computers do not have card readers...so that sucks.
I have to say that the past couple of days have been really interesting. Autumn's been very up and down. Wednesday she went through a nuclear meltdown until that night. It was not good. But, we keep doing what we need to do and letting her grieve. Today, Thursday was much better. She did some laughing and smiling...she reached out for me while in G's arms. We danced a bit in the room this afternoon.
We discovered that she's not so much into the formula (and bottle) so she's eating corn puffs, crackers, and congee. We've also been giving her lots of water and stuff in a sippy cup. She's not been holding it herself...or feeding herself...yet. She's been slowly coming out of her shell. We both are soooo glad that we've had a very supporting group and agency rep here in ChongQing (alot of the other families are having various "issues" as well...which was expected). Little by little things will get better and we're gratefull that we've had really great training and help from our agency. Now if I could just figure out how to be co-ordinated enough to do the diaper change solo....LOL

Sorry for no photos...maybe in GuangZhou things will be more....accessible.

Til then...

Try another bran dof formula. She really needs the exxtra vitamins for the next few months. Maybe mix it with her congee. They are notorously stingy with formula in the SWI's so she is probably a bit malnourished. She needs that nutrition. The Nestle brand was good. Put it in her sippy cup very warm.

Good luck

I forgot, add a tsp of sugar to it too. All babies love sugar and it wont hurt her to have a bit! She needs those vitamins and protein.
