wow.
sooo just in a day's time, we received our Chinese visas via FedEx and we received our Travel Notice from the CCAA. Our agency, once they received the TNs, verified the information and then turned around and faxed them to the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou. They have requested our group's appointment for sometime the week of Dec. 18th. In their email they say that this will have us traveling around the 7th. The 7th is next Thursday!!!
I have a feeling that the Consulate Appointment will be approved for sometime that week and we will leave sometime on the 7th. Why do I think Thursday the 7th? Well, another family and their group received their TNs today (they use the same agency) and their email supposedly mentions them leaving around the 8th. To me this sounds like they've already pre-determined that those dates would be our departure dates if the appointments are confirmed as requested. Why else would they have different dates (i.e. "around the 7th"..."around the 8th")
Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but it seems to me that our group is targeted to leave for China next Thursday. We are soooo ready to go...but yet feel like we're not quite ready. LOL Needless to say, we've got lots to do and finish doing between now and next Thursday.
Now if we can just get that updated information (and photo?) on Autumn sometime this week....

Hi. I first want to introduce myself as I found your blog via your travelmates. I am Beth and live in Littleton. We came home with Shayna in June and she is the same age as Autumn. Congratulations on your TN and I am excited to follow you on your journey. When things slow down for you after you are home, we would love to meet you. I have a playgroup of girls with CCAI all around the same age and we meet once a month. Just let me know if you are interested. Again, congrats on your TN.

thanks for dropping in! we'd be happy to meet you all and Shayna. She's a doll. Gwyn and I would be interested in the once a month 'playgroup' for sure. especially since it you say the girls are all around the same age. I think that would be wonderful for Autumn.
We hope, as do the girls in the Travel Dept., to be heading over to get Autumn in alittle over a week!

honestly?! I can't believe how fast this has been going. After feeling like we were stuck in super-slow-mo during the wait, everything has been as they say in the Mazda commercials. zoom zoom zoom.
we're both looking forward to meeting up (hopefully) with alot of our fellow RQ-ers and bloggers! Hope to see you in GZ as well!
