well after the bit of bummer news...well...lack of news I should say, it seems that today had some redeeming value to it.
it seems that there were several sources...including some 'secret' sources or source for RQ that points to referrals starting to show up Thursday (the 2nd). our agency has not confirmed anything yet so they aren't saying one way or the other. We'll see Thursday I guess if people start posting that referrals indeed start arriving. If so, and I'm assuming our agency will have gotten them as well, we may be finally getting the call on Friday!
we've had our hopes up alot lately only to see them get shot down. we're holding off on getting too excited by this "news" today until it looks like it's happening. hopefully it will this time.

i am "mixed" as well...but more and more it's sounding like referrals will be arriving tomorrow. with our agency, if they arrive tomorrow, we won't get the call until Friday because they have to translate and get everything verified before presenting them to the families.
but it's really starting to sound like the day is almost here!
Did you and dw decide on your daughters name? Just curious. We started to name Katie after my sister,Jo and I noticed you may go with the name Jo as a middle name. You have allllot of people waiting with you, including me. Cyber smiles to you both !! FYI -Our travel dates 11-9 to 11-23-06. Jacque

Jo was Gwyn's grandmother's nickname...she's the one that passed on this summer and had been knitting and looking forward to it all.
can't believe it's finally happening! we'll probably get the call Friday am. and then go down to our agency to get the referral. I'll try to post pics and stuff Friday night or Saturday. I'll definitely let you (and everyone) know when I'm done.
