just so you know...

I just wanted to take a moment to say a few things here. Today was a hectic day and I didn't get to do much, but I did make some time to read all the posts on RQ and the posts here. I wanted to say how much the wife and I thought that was the most wonderful thing to know there's so much support and understanding.

I'm sure the rest of you agree this has been such a "long strange trip". Some of you don't have any children like us...so this is a first time deal and a very emotional and powerful journey. some of you are doing this for the 2nd or more times and this particular journey's been longer and more trying than the others. we all have had our ups and downs throughout this wait and I want you all to know that we've been pulling for all of you just as much as you've apparently been pulling for us. I'm so glad to have found a great group of people who you know..just 'get it'.
You guys are great and it's been a pleasure to share our insites, our speculations, our viewpoints, and of course our humour. laughter they say (who is 'they' anyway?) is the best medicine and we all know we've needed our share of it. I'm glad to be able to 'lighten things up' on occasion as well as throw my $1.50 (inflation) in as far as comments and opinions. We all don't see eye to eye on everything obviously...who does? but it's great to know that we've been over that ground several times and learned alot from each other. we're all better for it. And I know that one day our daughters (or sons if so chosen) will be looking through all of our writings and pictures and say..."what the heck was wrong with you?!" LOL no, seriously...we are the lucky and blessed for our children. And I'm glad to have gotten to "hang with" alot of you lucky parents and parents-to-be over this wait. Our time is coming...just a few more weeks. Doesn't seem so bad now. And everyone I've talked to that's recently come back or has done this in the past has said that once your baby is in your arms all of the wait and frustration and stress melts away. These kids have super powers like that ya know ;)

So...We just wanted to say that you all are great and we both appreciate all you guys!

I can't wait to rejoice with you when you finally get your call.

T&G,

Hang in there, buddy....you're NEXT!

And it's true what "they" say, when you receive THE CALL and see that picture for the first time, you absolutely will not remember how much it hurt during the waiting process.

It's been fun reading your posts (although at times I wonder how you find time to get any work done!).

You've got ONE MONTH to play, then it's down to some serious baby business!

All my best,
Kelly in Michigan

Hey TG and G!

I don't comment on RQ...but love to read along. And I must say...it will be one heck of a month for us......no worries about cutoffs...only {{WHEN}} will they come? Do you guys know any stalkers for the DHL truck in late October?? :) Bobbi ~LID 8-11-05..who is finally NEXT with you guys!!!!

lol bobbi you're cracking me up with the stalker thing.

actually...in my job i chase down stuff for my customers through just about any freight and parcel company out there. hmmmm...if only we could intercept a tracking number when the time comes....hehe.

honesty, funny you mention wondering 'when' the referrals might come. I'm thinking that we could see them about the same time as this month. I'm going to guess around the 25th/26th...just a feeling. I don't believe the holiday next week will affect anything much.

woohoo we're next!!! have you guys started 'counting down' yet?

I am starting *the countdown* on my site on October 1...I think when October hits...it is going to finally feel REAL! It will finally be "our" month! Here's to Santa hats at the White Swan! And..we shall see about that tracking number....later! he!

bobbi-
you totally gave me an idea with the Santa hats at the White Swan. So unless we end up leaving early Dec and getting back before hand...I'm thinking we're going to have to find a little Christmas outfit for the kiddo ;)
and yup, i'm starting the official countdown on the 1st as well. we're actually starting to get way excited now just thinking about it all!

I was going to post our site address soon but I wanted you and your DW to take a peek when you have a minute. It is still under construction but our Katie's referral pictures are on the HomePage.
