the "12month" plan...

let it be known that I did not come up with the moniker "the 12 month plan".
I do subscribe to the idea however.
I do not know when or who or how it was brought up, but basically what was said was that the CCAA supposedly was going to try and make and keep the referral wait time to around 12 months. That they just couldn't handle doing 6-7months as they had not but last year. Of all the speculations and rumours going around since 'the big slowdown', this one particular notion...this one statement has travelled through the referral wait time with us all. It recently has appeared not but a day ago when a delegation from the CCAA (including supposedly the dir. of Child Match) visiting AUS and NZ spoke with families and apparently two of those families with late Nov. LIDs were told they were looking at only another 4 months. Not counting this next group to go out in a week and a half, that would put the wait for those families at 12 months. A gentleman here in CO was told by Dir. Gen Lu himself early in the year that with a Nov LID (i believe it was Nov...) that he could expect a referral around Nov/Dec. There also have been other mentions of the 12month wait time.

Well the time to find out is close. This next group of referrals to go out starts with 6/29/05 and if they plan on keeping things around the 12-13month thing they should get through most of July '05 LIDs. The only other thought would be for them to get to about mid month and then start doing 4 weeks. that would straddle the 12-13month time frame. Either way...it is going to be interesting to see if all this talk during all this time has been just to show good face or if the CCAA has indeed planned this and created the slow-down to reach this moment in time so they can go forward with their 12month plan.....
