we've been invaded. invaded by pods...pod people. pods are everywhere.
Actually I have one. Just got it last week too! It's very cool I must admit. You can put videos, movies, photos, and of course music on it. It will definitely come in handy on a 17 hour flight. The thing I really discovered that was cool is that there are things called podcasts. Someone in the August DTC Yahoo! Group posted about chinesepod.com. It's basically a place to download 'podcast' lessons in how to speak Mandarin Chinese. It starts at the very basic level and goes up to advanced lessons. They are very very cool and soooo helpful in learning how to speak the language. I'm enjoying listening and learning that's for sure. :)
well that's it for now.... Xie xie, Zai Jian!

Hello,
I'm going back and forth between the idea of buying on of those little mini DVD players or an ipod for the trip to China. We don't have a laptop, so the Mini DVD would be nice to watch movies on, but I know you can do so much more with an i pod. Oh well, with a 3-10 LID date I guess I'll have a while to decide:o)
liz-
we went with the iPod mostly because if you get the video iPod (30Gb or 60Gb) you can (with alittle ingenuity i've found) put movies on it, download videos, of course have your music, AND! put photos on there. what better way to quickly share photos of your babygirl! at least that the way we've looked at it. :) we got ours on Ebay...(actually got two one for the DW and one for myself...i know...sad hehe)
:)
Waiting4our-tianshi,
Thanks for the feedback! I never thought of looking on Ebay, I'll have to check it out!
