So about the end of October last year, the both of us took a week off from work and went on our "last vacation before we became parents". We went to Vegas, Zion National Park, Valley of Fire, and a couple of other places along the way. We figured it to be our "last vacation before we became parents" because we anticipated being matched, traveled, and home with our baby girl this spring. Who knew that we'd be pulling something the likes of Cher and her 'Farewell Tour' (which I think ended up being 3 different tours over the course of 2 years or something..??)
So here it is mid-May just about and after not scheduling any vacation this year and scaring our co-workers at our respective jobs into taking their vacations either early this year or later this fall/winter, we decided to squeak in a few days off to get away and break up the time until we actually do get our referral, travel, and come home with our little one. Yup, that's right...the Vacation That Really Is The Last Vacation Before We Become Parents.
(at least it better be this time...;) hehe)

You guys sound like me and my hubby. We're going to take "1 last trip" next month. Everytime we've gone anywhere in the past 6 months we said that it would be the last time we'd be doing it before baby. Our LID is 15 days before your's. I picked up your blog on RQ. You seem to be one of the more logical posters on that site, especially last FRiday.
thank you so much!
it's been tough at times but definitely will be worth it. It's good to hear you guys will be taking that '1 last trip' next month...we just felt we'd go crazy if we didn't take a few days. I wish you luck on your journey and keep us posted if you'd like :)
