Hi there.
First off I would like to say that we're first-time parents waiting for our referral from China. We have a LID of 8.10.05. We're patiently (somewhat) waiting for that wonderful day we get our first glimpse of our daughter. We haven't named her yet. Oh, we've got a short list of names...but felt that we'd wait until we see her photo and read about her before finalising our decision. Like most who adopt from China, we're going to keep her given name (or part of it..depending) as her 'middle' name.
So why am I doing this blog thing? Well...because my wife stumbled across the 'Rumour Queen's blog site while looking for any information on why the referral time has been slow and out-of-whack. (www.isorumors.blogspot.com) And...since I've been the one typically working out in my head the endless possibilities of how much longer we're going to be waiting, hypothesising on what's going on, etc...etc, I ended up being sucked in to this whole world of blog.
I thought I did alot just creating and maintaining a website about our adoption journey. I never thought I'd get into ...well...blog, blog, blog. haha. :)
anywho, this is just an opening thing here I guess. I'll probably work out something to do to make it worth leaving a comment or something here if anyone cares to. Meantime...and especially if you're like us-waiting and waiting for your China referral- check out the aforementioned blogspot.

Let me say..the best part of the wait is the blogs and the yahoo groups. Carefull with all the rumors...they just add more twists and turns on the roller coaster.

thanks for the post! :) yeah the wife and I both find it's fun to read and chime-in on these blogs. Nice to know that indeed other families are going through similar situations. And of course...not everything is to be totally believed as we see on the RQ's site. hehe.
